Ensuring accurate and appropriate coding for patient visits is imperative to the success of clinic operations. Among the challenges clinicians face is how to code for the appropriate level of service, therefore providing the maximum reimbursement within the scope of the family planning visit. This audio Webcast will provide clinic staff with an update on contraceptive management coding, and appropriate use of documentation used in family planning visits. The areas covered will be:
  1. How to use ICD-9 codes to establish medical necessity
  2. The appropriate use of Evaluation and Management codes
  3. Review of the various contraceptive managements codes used in family planning
